The latest version of jTips is now version 2.0.9. This update address a few layout issues that prevented some administrator areas of jTips from displaying correctly. For example, missing toolbar icons on the BadWords manager, and pagination links on most list areas. Also, the current version is now displayed on the Updates tab of the jTips Administrator Dashboard. Additionally, three cool new features have also been included in this release!
Show more of your Tips by allowing users to see your current tips before the round has been completed! Or, make sure that have at least submitted their tips before looking at anyone elses. To view the tips of another user, for the current round, click on the user's name to bring up the ShowTips window. There will then be a new link at the bottom of that window labelled 'Peek into the Current Round'. Click this link to show the tips for the current round!
Stop users from editing their tips by disabling the ability to edit. Once a user has submitted their tips, the will then be unable to go back an update them. This is best used when allowing users to view tips of other users for the current round only after submitting their own tips.
Finally, a new upgrade check system has been introduced. When you view the jTips Administrator Dashboard, you will now see a new part to the Updates tab called 'File Check'. Basically, if you see a tick, then your jTips system can be upgraded with no problems. If you see a yellow alert icon, then something needs to be corrected before using OneClick Upgrade. To find out what needs to be corrected, click the icon. Here you will see a list of files that will have incorrect file permissions. As you correct each file that is listed, click the 'Re-Check' button to run the scan again. Repeat this process until no files appear in the list. Then, when you return to the jTips Administrator Dashboard, you will be able to use the OneClick Upgrade feature with no problem.
All users should upgrade to stay up to date with the latest fixes and features.
