Overall Ladder Module Released E-mail

Overall Ladder with AvatarsWe are pleased to announce the release of a brand new module for jTips. The jTips Overall Ladder Module combines the user ladders from all your current competitions/seasons.

This new module also supports integration with popular community components such as Community Builder (1.1 and 1.2) and JomSocial. Each user's name can be linked to their corresponding profile page in the selected social application. Additionaly, their avatar/profile image can be displayed directly in the module!

This new module has been written exclusively for Joomla! 1.5. This marks a significant milestone for jTips. New modules and addones will be developed only for Joomla! 1.5. If you are still using Joomla! 1.0, we highly recommend you upgrade.

In other news, we are currently working on the May update for jTips 2.1. Version 2.1.10 will be a fairly minor update, including a few bug fixes to continue improving the system.

Expect this update within the next week or so.

The Hot Tip

Lowest Score Allocation

Enter -1 for 'User No Tips Points' when setting up a season and when you process a round, users that forget to submit their tips will be given the same score as the user that did submit their tips, but scored the lowest. This will keep these 'forgetful' users in the game... but only just.

The jTips Demo Site is now available for you to check out the intricacies of the jTips system. The Demo Site is loosley based on the Australian NRL competition. However, the demo data is completely refreshed and randomized every 12 hours! Not everything can be randomized however, so the Comments and BadWords features have been disabled. You can log in to the Demo Site in both the front end and administration areas to really get a feel for how the system works.
