Due to an issue with oder version of jTips, it is not possible to use the OneClick Upgrade feature to upgrade to jTips 2.0.10. All current subscribers have been sent this latest version. It is highly recommended that you update to this version.
To manually update to this version, follow these steps:
- Uninstall your current version of jTips 2.0
- Install the latest version
- Go through your Configuration and select your preferred settings
- Enter your Activation details
- Ensure menu items point to jTips on your website
Existing competition information will not be lost in this process, however, your configration will be removed. The issue that prevented the OneClick Upgrade has been resolved, but requires at least jTips 2.0.10 for future compatibility.
Issues Resolved
#124. Licese Validation Caching
When attempting to validate the activation key through a proxy server, the DNS would sometimes faile, depending on the proxy. The validation now uses SSL to ensure a secure, un-cached connection.
#125. Movement Icons Not Visible
If Joomla! is installed in a directory other than the root directory of a website, the participant movement icons were not displayed.
Features Added
#118. Community Builder 1.2 Support
Support for the latest version of Community Builder (1.2)has now been added. This is an automatic detection. jTips 2.0 will now work correctly with Community Builder 1.1 and 1.2.
#123. Team Hover Information
Before support for Joomla! 1.5 was increased, you could hover your mouse over any team logo to display a larger version of the logo and some information about that team. This feature had to be removed to support Joomla! 1.5. However, now it's back, and better than ever! Instead of hovering on the small team logo, click on the name of the team to see the larger team logo, description, and the complete season history for that team!
